I have been acting in the theatre since I was in third grade. . .
And made my debut in The Wizard of Oz as a poppy, munchkin and Ozian Beautician (yes that is how it is billed). As a high school student, I logged enough hours to join the Thespian Society my Sophomore year and by Junior Year became the President. If I wasn’t in the show acting, I was on crew.
I went to Illinois State University’s School of Theatre and Dance and, there, was nominated three times for the Irene Ryan Prize through the Kennedy Center.
Upon moving to Chicago, I had the opportunity to be an Associate Company Member for two seasons with The New Colony— formerly known for using improvisation to write new works and, there, I created the character of Mel in the play Lightning That Comes.
I have worked with companies at Steppenwolf Theatre Company (David Rabe’s Premiere of Visiting Edna), Illinois Shakespeare Festival and First Floor Theatre Company.
In Film and TV, I can be seen on POPtv (Hot Date) and NBC (Chicago Fire) as well as major commercial campaigns such as Shop Small with Shaq for Mastercard. I also co-created, co-wrote and acted in an original comedy web series Centered, which appeared at festivals across the country.
Since relocating to New York, I have worked with several up and coming director-writers, leading two short films (15th Floor and Once More With Feeling) and appearing in two premiere theatre productions (Autumn Reveries and a clown-devised piece Daniel’s Mom’s Version of the American Dream) as well as reading stage directions for a workshop reading at NYTF.
